Calendar of Events

Listed below are various workshops, seminars, training, and research relating to grief and loss, that are happening in Auckland (and sometimes beyond) over 2012.  Please contact us if you have other grief and loss events happening that you would like included.

May 2012

Thursday 3 May, 2-4 pm.  Kids Do Grieve.  Presented by Lorna Wood.  Where:  Taitamariki Guide Hall, Auburn St, Takapuna (please note change of venue).  Cost $20.  For more information, click here. 

Tuesday 15 May, 3-5 pm.  Death Sucks!  Talking in the Aftermath of Loss.  Presented by Nigel Latta, for the Funeral Directors Association of NZ, Auckland District.  A seminar examining the issue of working with bereaved families in the immediate aftermathof loss.  Where:  Ellerslie Convention Centre, Greenland.  Cost $25. Tuesday 15 May, 1-4pm.  Family resilience, coping and suicide risk:  research and practice.  Presented by John Fitzgerald, Director of The Psychology Centre in Hamilton, in partnership with Skylight.  Cost $70.  For more information click here.

Wednesday 30 May and Thursday 31 May 2012.  Loss and Grief Workshop.  Presented by Mary Potter staff.  An intensive two day workshop giving an overview of grief theory and the practices around working with people facing loss and grief issues.   Cost $300.00.  Where:  Mary Potter Hospice, Newtown, Wellington.  Vist www.marypotter.org.nz for more information and registration forms.

June 2012
